06.02.10 (MH) After the previous result the Old Boys took to the field expecting to make amends and pick up 3 points. However we didn't bank on Middleton Cheney picking up 2 goals and pretty much sealing the game early doors. Colin Crowhurst fired in just before the break after some good work down the wing by Dan Somerton latching on to one of many monstrous kicks from the keepers hands. Cheney pressed on in the second half and increased their lead after some sloppy defending. We had chances to pick up a late consolation but some wayward shooting meant the game ended 4-1. We now face 3 away fixtures in a row and hopefully some points on the board.
23.01.10 (MH) Finally we took to the pitch after the winter break, however it showed! A 2-1 loss to Souldern left everyone feeling deflated.
11.01.10 (MH) No football at all over the festive period, 3 games and all training sessions cancelled due to ice and snow. The re-arranged fixture this coming weekend with Souldern could also be cancelled if this snow doesn't clear off soon!
12.12.09 (MH) Following the previous weeks draw with league leaders The Swan, the Old Boys travelled to Upper Heyford for the fixture with Heyford United Reserves. A victory was the order of the day but Heyford had other plans with a 4-2 win. Goals from Arron Williams and Matty Spencer weren't enough in a pretty dismal performance by the Old Boys.

14.11.09 (JF) The first of four home games on the bounce, the elmsmen entertained priors at the very wet and wind swept recreation ground. This was always going to be competitive with the teams being so close in the league, and the game was played with good sportsmanship. The cob took the lead with 15 mins gone, good work down the left flank resulting in a smart scissor kick volley from aaron williams, scoring his first for the club after a recent transfer from banbury galaxy. A second should of followed when fellow striking partner hurst failed to slot home a penalty. Conditions in the second half eased slightly but the battle continued on the park with neither team surrendering. Both teams had several good chances before the old boys sealed the victory with a clever header from ryan luckett from close range. Two leagues played, two won. Could the tables be turning?
